Dance Beauty and Dance with Great Posture

Originating from the Latin beatus and bellus, the masculine form of the word evolved to beau and its feminine form belle. Eventually the English word “Beautiful” began to be used in the 15th century. Some related terms we confer to beauty are: attractiveness, pulchritude, radiance, vitality, aliveness, blessed, happy, graceful, elegant.

Somehow we develop a relationship to our own beauty by how our light reflects back from the people in our lives. When we, even as children, are welcomed into our families and communities, our own light shines. They welcome us, we welcome the feedback, we again shine our light. Beauty, then, is a positive feedback loop of an energy exchange.

From physics we learn that energy has mass and takes up space. In order for us to create a space or conduit for energy in the body; the body must be open and have flexibility, coordination, balance, strength, and freedom of movement.

Beauty is dynamic and responsive. An attractive man or woman with a self- destructive attitude or habit will detract from their beauty. An attractive person with poor body alignment diminishes their beauty. Clumsiness and

Beauty in an inner person

You often hear, “what you feel on the inside translates to the outside.” The beauty that flows throughout you relates to how you carry yourself. If you are feeling fabulous, it shows through your smile and carries through to your posture.

I never used to wear makeup before, but I do now. When I was going through chemotherapy and radiation, I felt terrible. One day, a few of us ladies went to a makeup session given by the local hospital; the American Cancer Society furnished the makeup for cancer patients. I felt terrible, but just putting on a little bit of makeup made me feel so much better about myself. The other women and I shared stories and laughter, and it was truly an uplifting experience. It would have been so much easier to just pull the covers over my head and lay in bed, but I forced myself to go, and I’m so glad I did.

Beauty is what you feel; sure we can enhance our beauty by expressing ourselves through different styles or by simply putting on a favorite fragrance. Ultimately what you feel on the inside will shine through on the outside. Beauty

Are Beauty Subjects ‘Soft’?

I am new to blogging and upon discussing the content of my blog with a friend, they expressed their surprise that ‘someone so academic’ would be writing about a ‘soft’ subject like beauty. Now I wasn’t at all happy at this remark. Not only is it one of my passions and the topic that my whole blog is based on, but I also have numerous friends that are employed in the beauty industry in some way. I have friends who are professional makeup artists, beauty therapists, hairdressers and nail technicians. I also have friends who run their own franchised beauty businesses such as Avon. All of these people are smart, creative, passionate and highly trained professionals. And yet there are still those that doubt whether it is a worthwhile industry to work in or whether as a field of study it deserves respect.

The beauty industry in the UK alone employs over 1 million people. Despite a global recession in recent years, the beauty and cosmetics industry has increased its market share year after year and is predicted to be worth over $200 billion worldwide by 2017. That’s far bigger than many other industries and is a

Beauty imperfections

According to some people, beauty is the product of a pleasing appearance and good taste, and by the dimensions of all the parts being duly proportioned to each other. However, we failed to realize that women who stay true to themselves are always more interesting and beautiful.

Aside from that, character contributes to beauty. A mode of conduct, a standard of courage, discipline, fortitude, and integrity can do a great deal to make a woman beautiful. Beauty will come of its own accord if we think what is useful and not what is beautiful.

Moreover, we do not have to compare ourselves to other people since beauty is not enough, there must be something more. Having inner beauty for instance, is something we need to develop on our own.

It’s a pity that others find beauty very important. It is even frightening to have such notion because physical beauty in only temporary. We do not even realized that sometimes people build their lives based on the principles of beauty in spite of the times of distress. What a shallow-minded individual that is!

We need to love ourselves. It is essential for us to stay

All Explanations About Beauty

Beauty is not skin deep. It’s attitude that separates the beauty from the crowd. “Looking at beauty in the world, is the first step of purifying the mind.” The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. A woman whose smile is open and whose expression is glad has a kind of beauty no matter what she wears. All women are beautiful, regardless of their looks. You just need to touch their soul with respect and appreciation for their inner beauty and you will be rewarded with joy. The heart is way more important than the package.

I love natural beauty, and I think it’s your best look, but I think makeup as an artist is so trans-formative. I would never like to endorse a fairness cream. I believe in natural beauty.

True beauty can’t shine through make-up. Many of us can’t even imagine our life without makeup.

The Three Pillars of Beauty

Maharishi Ayurveda (MAV), the modern, consciousness-based revival of the ancient Ayurvedic medicine tradition, considers true beauty to be supported by three pillars; Outer Beauty, Inner Beauty and Lasting Beauty. Only by enhancing all three can we attain the balanced state of radiant health that makes each of us the most fulfilled and beautiful person we can be.

Outer Beauty: Roopam

The outer signs of beauty – your skin, hair and nails – are more than just superficial measures of beauty. They are direct reflections of your overall health. These outer tissues are created by the inner physiological processes involved in digestion, metabolism and proper tissue development. Outer beauty depends more on the strength of your digestion and metabolism, the quality of your diet, and the purity of your blood, than

All of my life, I wanted to be beautiful. In today’s society, it is more acceptable to insist that you are “beautiful on the inside”, unfortunately, those of us on the outside are not seeing your insides. Wanting to be beautiful is now criticized as being shallow. I’m sorry but I would rather be perceived as shallow than hypocritical because I find it impossible to believe than any women is content to be less than she can be.

Beauty Mirror

The probe of human mind has marked every inch of success but the art of drawing parallels for what beauty is, has remained a great mystery. For some philosophers, beauty is the degree of attraction and admiration, provoked in an observer. But it is argued that the same beauty does not affect everyone the same way. It varies dramatically. A few think thanks have defined it as a degree of perfection, but perfection in one field may not be of any interest to an observer. So beauty is very difficult to explain fully, but it may be said that it is a game of comparison. Suppose there is only one woman in the world, now question is whether she is beautiful or not. The answer unambiguously is that you can’t say anything because you don’t have another woman to compare with.

But sailing beyond the ocean of imagination, one realizes that there is a factor that determines the degree of beauty, i.e. a personal dictionary, which translates the mortals and assigns degree of beauty. The holy words of human history will peep out from the gale of truth and will strongly proclaim that Juliet was a

Understanding Beauty Innocent!

Beauty is basically a quality that is inherent within every thing, animate and inanimate. The quality is present in an object or person and gives intense and deep pleasure and a sense of satisfaction to the mind. This inherent feeling arises either from the sensory manifestations like specific shape, vibrancy of color or a particular sound. The feeling could also arise on account of a meaningful design or pattern or maybe even something a person says or a personality itself.

Beauty is a quality of a person, object, place or a specific idea that provides an experience that is perceptual and dedicated to the derived pleasure and affirmation that results from the contact. The concept of beauty changes from person to person. What appeals to one, does not necessarily appeal to another. While some consider it skin deep, some believe that it is of the soul.

Beauty lies is in the eye of the beholder is a common phrase that is much attributed to the concept and visualisation of beauty. Beauty care involves the applcation of externally enhancing therapies and products that add to the physical beauty of a person.

Outer Beauty

If you ask one hundred women, “Do you want to be beautiful?” most of them will say they do. But, if you ask them, “So what do you think of beautiful women?” Most will have some pretty strong opinions. They will tell you that beautiful women are “thin, confident, perfect, well-dressed, and that they get what they want.” They will tell you that it takes a lot of time, energy, and money to look beautiful. They will also say that beautiful women are usually born that way. These statements are all myths — they are not true, but we tend to believe them.

And lurking just beneath the surface, the myths get even worse. When questioned more closely, many women will also report that beautiful women are “vain, self-centered, egotistical, selfish, and basically, not very nice.” I have asked tens of thousands of women of all ages and social groups these questions and share with you that this is what many women experience. They also think that they would have to be perfect. And until they are perfect in every way, then they cannot be beautiful.

If we think this way, we are in a

Understanding of Beauty

Beauty is a phenomenal concept which is as old as mankind. Yet, it is a concept which is very misunderstood. Different individuals listen to such diverse views of what beauty entails that quite a number end up confused, frustrated and frankly give up. If someone were to walk right up to you and asked you to define beauty; what would you say? Would you start describing a cover model you saw in one of the popular magazines, or colors of the rainbow? Or would you consider a soft melodious piece of music or even a romantic verse from a lover? All these can be defined within the concept of beauty but one thing that is clear, there is no definite definition of beauty. Beauty is something abstract and intangible. It is something about something. This something about something will vary from individual to individual. A popular definition of beauty is that it is a characteristic about something that gives a feeling of pleasure and satisfaction. Therefore for beauty to be perceived, it must stimulate the senses to evoke a feeling of joy, pleasure and satisfaction. From this definition, the judge of what’s beautiful is the person who receives

Beauty Psychology

On the different theories of beauty and the role of perception in the judgment of beauty.

The psychology of beauty is complex not just because the concept of beauty is as yet undefined but also because it is largely true that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder or how individuals perceive other people or things. Beauty can be attributed to everything that appeals to our senses and all objects that are compatible with our personal preferences. Beauty as we perceive it is largely a projection of our needs and beautiful objects or persons simply cater to our idealizations or fancies and reflect our natural need to relate to all that is appealing. Human beings are controlled by the senses and we tend to repeat processes or experiences that appeal to the senses, that are harmonious and have structure and form. Beauty appeals to our sense of sight so there is a preference for repeating the experience of beauty.

But how do we perceive beauty and why are some people or objects considered more beautiful than some others? Psychological tests have considered symmetry and proportion as extremely important in the perception of beauty. Beauty is

Overview

The concept of Beauty can refer to a particular person, a special place, an object of interest or even the concept of an idea, all of which can provide a perceptual experience related to pleasure, meaning or satisfaction. The study of beauty is intrinsically a part of aesthetics, sociology, social psychology and culture. In the form of a cultural creation, beauty has become extremely commercialised.

The characterisation of an “ideal beauty” is represented in a person who is admired, or possesses features widely associated with beauty in a particular culture. There are many historical figures that have come to personify beauty itself, such as Cleopatra, Helen of Troy, and Marilyn Monroe. The subjective experience, which refers to the sensory buzz and awareness associated with a perceptive mind, related to “beauty”, often involves the interpretation of some entity as being as one and in harmony with nature, which may lead to feelings of attraction and emotional well-being.

Beauty, as expressed by the popular saying, is in the eye of the beholder. In its most profound sense, beauty may engender a salient experience, which refers to a state or quality of standing out relative to
